Dive Cruises in Thailand with The Junk

PHUKET DIVE CRUISE WITH THE JUNK, aka June Hong Chian Lee, built in Penang, Malaysia, in 1962 and is a 30 meter long teak sailing junk, 140 tonnes, three masts and a sail area of 330 square meters . At first she was used as a coal transport boat, but in 1997 she changed owners and was completely refurbished to become a luxury diving cruiser in Thailand. June Hong Chian Lee is a true superstar, in fact you can see her in the James Bond film “The Man with the Golden Gun” and “Swiss Family Robinson”.

The Junk offers the best diving spots in Phuket, Thailand, with the Northern and Southern Routes of the Andaman Sea. The boat has six cabins: 2 double cabins, 2 triple cabins (can be both double and twin) and 2 quadruple cabins with bunk beds. All cabins have air conditioning and a private bathroom with toilet and hot shower. Minimalistic in design, but extremely comfortable. The upper deck is very large and offers plenty of space for sunbathing or reading a book in the shade. The air conditioned lounge has a large selection of books, CDs and DVDs.
