Exploring the Stunning Underwater World of Koh Doc Mai: A Dive Site in the Andaman Sea

Koh Doc Mai is a popular dive site located in the Andaman Sea, near Phuket in Thailand. The name Koh Doc Mai translates to “Flower Island” in Thai, due to the many colorful corals and marine life that can be found in the area.

The dive site is a vertical wall that drops down to depths of around 30-40 meters (100-130 feet), making it a popular spot for advanced divers. The wall is covered in a variety of soft and hard corals, sea fans, and sponges, and is home to a diverse range of marine life, including reef fish, moray eels, octopus, and occasional sightings of larger species such as whale sharks.

Due to the depth and strong currents, Koh Doc Mai is not recommended for novice divers, but experienced divers can enjoy the stunning marine life and abundance of marine life in the area.
